Jerrie Tipton - Mineral County Commissioner
Jerrie Tipton is currently serving as Commissioner for Mineral County, NV. She was elected to the position in November 2006 and took office in Jan. 2007. Jerrie was born and raised on a ranch in Payson Arizona. She graduated from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ in 1976 with a degree in Architectural Drafting and Design with an extended major in Interior Design. She worked in the Phoenix Metro area until 1982 where she moved back to Payson to help her folks with the ranch work and opened her own business - creating construction drawings for custom home customers. She married Tony Tipton, a native of Humboldt County, NV in 1989 and moved to Nevada. Between them Jerrie and Tony have two daughters and five grandchildren, some living in Nevada and some in Arizona. Tony and Jerrie have a BLM public land ranching operation near Mina, NV, a heavy equipment rental operation and have plans to re-open the closed truck stop at Sodaville, NV.
