Draft Conference Schedule
We are hard at work planning the 100th Anniversary celebration of the Nevada Association of Counties! Mark your calendars and plan to join us for informative educational sessions, networking events and our annual Awards Banquet.
Tuesday, September 24th
Plan to be in Carson City early in the afternoon for our first educational session. The General Membership meeting will also take place on Tuesday afternoon and all County Commissioners are encouraged to attend and participate in the election of our Vice President who will ascend to lead NACO in 2027.
Tuesday evening, Carson City will host the President's Reception where we will honor our 2024 President, Carson City Supervisor Stacey Giomi, at the Historic Nevada State Prison. In continual use for 150 years before its closure in 2012, attendees will be able to explore the history of the prison, including its use in the entertainment industry beginning in 1921 and staring notable greats like Leonard Nimoy, Tom Selleck and Denzel Washington.Wednesday, September 25th
The day will begin with an educational session, followed by the General Session where attendees will hear from an engaging Keynote Speaker. Enjoy the fresh air in beautifil Mills Park, where lunch will be hosted in the Marv Texiera Pavillion. The afternoon will host more educational sessions on topics important to counties and opportunities to engage with our sponsors. Be sure to attend the Awards Banqet at the Fandango ballroom to find out who will be honored this year!
Thursday, September 26th
The conference will wrap up following a final educational session and opportunities to discuss the services that our sponsors provide to support Nevada's 17 county governments.
Updates to the conference schedule and educational session topics will be posted as we continue to finalize the events of the conference.
